DVD Player with Trigger Input
There are many instances when you might need to start a video playing when some external event happens. You might want have a haunt effect dvd start when your victims walk past a motion sensor so that bugs are projected on the wall. Maybe you have a retail display set up in your store and want a demo video to play when a customer stands on a pressure mat in front of the display.
This triggering DVD player has an input on the back that activates the Play function whenever the two wire terminals are connected together. Here are a few examples of things you can use to trigger your videos:
- Motion Sensor
- Pressure Mat
- Pushbutton
- Door Switch
- Reed Switch
- Relay
- DTMF Controller
- Remote Control
Anything with a normally-open dry contact closure output will work. (Note: Don't connect any kind of voltage to the trigger input or it will damage the unit!)
This player has all the common features you'd find in any DVD player, plus the following special features that make it especially suited for use in haunts and displays:
- Screen saver has been disabled so no logo appears after sitting inactive for 5 minutes
- No on-screen text or icons appear during normal operation of the player (playing, pausing)
- Play and Pause button are separate, so video wont stop/start if sensor is retriggered in the middle of playback
